Love Will Not Break Your Heart, but Dismiss Your Fears

Some nights you just need to listen to Mumford and Sons. So much soul. I love this dress- It is so comfortable to wear all day! I just needed to add the scarf and a sweater to make it through school! Temperatures are arctic in my school building. Sometimes I even have to carry around a blanket. But back to the outfit- one of my favorites! Perfect go-to for a late morning.

Flashback

I put on this outfit yesterday morning and I realized that it is almost identical to what I wore in Paris when I went to France for a month last summer. I bought this scarf at this adorable little boutique in Paris and it is seriously one of my favorite pieces of clothing. It is super versatile and unique- it was the only one in the little shop!

Castle on a Cloud

One place that we always go to while we are in Monterey is Big Sur. The views are spectacular, the restaurants are delicious, and the company is great. One of our favorites is called Ventana. There is this gorgeous terrace, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You feel so high up that it is almost like you’re on a cloud. And the food is wonderful, too!

And the Fog Rolls In

Yesterday was so foggy here on the Monterey peninsula, that we decided to go down to Carmel-by-the-Sea (yes, that is its real name) for the day. There are some great shops and one particular restaurant that we always visit while we are here. Another tradition is to go down to Spanish Bay to a certain hotel and drink hot chocolate on the terrace. This hotel is special to us because my parents had their wedding reception there and, at sunset, a bagpiper comes and walks around the golf course and plays for all the people. And I cannot even tell you how gorgeous this golf course is. It is on Pebble Beach right off the terrace, and a few major golf tournaments are played there. Anyways, it was so much fun and just another little something we do every time we come to the coast.
